packaging & labeling . . .
We frequently seek out new, better packaging & labeling for our products to make them as reusable, recyclable, & biodegradable as possible.
Current practices include:
We re-use all packaging materials, insulating materials, wrapping, and boxes that come to us from outside sources.
We send our invoice, newsletter, wholesale info, and catalog via email to cut down on paper use. This also helps to keep costs lower, which, in turn, passes savings on to you!
80% of our labels will biodegrade and have no laminate covering. We use these labels on our products that are not expected to spend long lengths of time under water exposure.
20% of our labels are printed on biodegradable paper but are covered in a laminate that does not break down very quickly. We use these labels on products that are expected to spend time under water exposure. This is for your convenience and safety. Our product labels display usage instructions and ingredients for the product, and may need to be refered to on ocassion. We are actively seeking an alternative.
Currently, we use *plastic bottles and *containers (see below). Regarding plastic's synthetic, non-biodegradable nature, we are considering a switch to glass for a few of our products, as a trial in the near future. Our concern here is safety. . . stay tuned. In the meantime, the bottles and containers we use are recyclable. Please recycle or re-use them.
